QA Lead - Team Junkfish

Junkfish is looking for a QA Tester with a passion for games to join our development team remotely or at our office in Dundee, UK. You will have the opportunity to work on live projects, such as Monstrum 2, across multiple platforms from PC to mobile.

The role will see you lead the QA team on assisting our internal and external development teams in making sure our games meet a high standard. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills and play a vital role within the company that will have an impact on both development and community relations.


  • Testing key features and components of our games to make sure they meet our high standards.

  • Leading a team of QA professionals to make sure vital components of our games are tested before release.

  • Reporting issues found to the team in an informative and clear way

  • Helping create and lead test cases and scenarios for the games in development

  • Working with community management and customer support to make sure user issues are properly reported

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve quality and game experience

  • Work with the entire Junkfish team to help improve QA processes for all our projects

  • Report the QA team’s progress and issues to production and key stakeholders

  • Monitoring project check-ins as well as liaising with the dev team to identify and track issues

  • Be involved in the hiring and training of new QA staff members.

Skills & Requirements

  • Quality Assurance experience either in games or software development

  • An eye for detail and good analytical skills

  • Able to communicate issues clearly written and verbally

  • Experience vetting bugs and maintaining a healthy bug database

  • Good team working experience

  • Experience with Jira or equivalent project management tools and software

  • Able to jump between projects and test scenarios at short notice

  • Passion for quality assurance and game testing


  • Understanding of test automation process

  • Knowledge of working with console and mobile platforms

  • Experience with Unity or Unreal game development
